He has a distinguished architectural philosophy and a rich professional
experience that combines authenticity and modernity. His work is a
masterpiece of architecture and art that has contributed to the establishment
of a high professional tradition. Nabil Ghali , who is reflected in all his
work influenced by his teachers ‘Hassan Fathi’ and ‘Ramses Wissa’ , an
approach that maintained it, and added to him throughout his career. Nabil
Ghali graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Architecture
in 1962, and from then he designed and carried out various architectural
works for more than 50 years, it represented an addition to Egyptian
architecture contemporary.
Nabil Ghaly is participating in a committee formed by the Civilizational
Coordination Authority, headed by Engineer Mohamed Abu Saada, head of
the agency, in cooperation with UNESCO, to renovate the new village of
Qurna, built by architect Hassan Fathi. Ghaly’s work is characterized by its
dependence on bricks, stone, wood, marble and ceramics, which is evident
in most of his projects and he considers ceramic to be one of the basic
aesthetic elements of architectural construction as a part of the walls, and
that led him to establish a special section in his office for producing
ceramic, after he found that he would produce better results if he produced
by himself.
With the help of 4 artists from the Faculty of Art Education, Ghaly
designs, painted and burns the ceramic tile in his private office which is
painted in the desired shape and colours, then burned to turn into a ceramic
tile.
It is difficult to limit the work of Nabil Ghaly in the design of architecture
and decoration, although we mention, for example, some designs that have
left a strong impression in the world of architecture, including the
Movenpick Hotel Sharm El Sheikh in Naama Bay, Abu Sultan Hotel in
Fayed, Al-Mahashi Palace in Taba, Al-Wosol Square in Al-Ghardaqah,
Sahl Hasheesh, Mohammed Ali Club on the Great Sea Road and the
Nubian Village in Aswan Governorate in addition to a large number of
houses including Beit Ali Mango in Jordan, And ‘Beit Al-Harania’.
