LIGHT MELODIES WITH PAINTBRUSH AND COLORS
Artist Taher Abdel Azim
In the intimate space of convergence between arts and the overlap between
the manifestation of creative expression, artist Taher Abdel Azim is sailing
with his music or his optical melodies with paintbrush and colors, in his
amazing experience and art works.
Abdel Azim’s works embodied the idea that is based on opening the doors
of the creative moment before the various psychological and imaginative
implications, and other mental and spiritual ideas and images, as well as
exploring the artistic essence of various patterns of arts such as music (with
its various rhythms), and plastic art (with its different colours, shadows and
sizes), as well as cinemas, visual arts, and others.
Abdel Azim knew his experience well, and therefore his works relected this
overlap between arts- there is, for example, a desire to blow up the scene
physically despite its virtual stillness in the space of the picture. There is
also a call for people, events, homes and reality drama of life, which takes
the seer to another «life» in an artistic case parallel to life in its great sense
in the unlimited universe.
Abdel Azim focused on music and plastic arts. His music can paint a picture
and speak the language of colors, letters and words, not to mention the
explosion of colors with other sounds, such as the sounds of winds, water,
the fall of leaves, wheels, bustle of pedestrians and cars in the busy streets,
etc.
On the other hand, Abdel Azim managed to make musical “harmony” from
colours that were very closed without any breaks or lines or determinants
among themselves in most paintings, something which gave the overall
scene fluidity and mobility. Without this harmony sense that reflects the
excellency of the artist, these paintings would have been filled with different
tuneless colours and they would have been like musical dissonant, but they
are in fact harmonious in a visual symphony, with loudness in some places
and whisper in other places. In both cases, the seer feels that he reads a
rich face from the real life.
