What is Dar Al Handasah vision to form urban communities, which are
expected to be built within the province of the new Suez Canal axis? The
objectives of the development project of the Suez Canal area is the creation
of good jobs, not any jobs so it was to be create an integrated, a sustainable
new and modern urban communities. It was taken into account in planning
to include all new urban communities which take into consideration the
Industrial, the administrative, the commercial, the residential areas, the
community services and the recreational areas in order to become an
independent community which can service the travel issues with reduced
distances between the residential areas and the workplaces with the
provision of the modern mass transportation and the provision of the
dedicated compact pedestrian paths with the greenery great extent and the
challenge of those tracks major milestones and creating distinctive urban
character of different regions.
According to the potential of the region, to what extent the territory of the
Suez Canal can handle mankind gatherings or new cities can be built to
serve the goals of development for the region? As has been explained
previously each region will be developed will be an integrated urban
community and will address its objectives and the development strategy.
Rely on the urban strategy for the region to create the new communities to
be the expansion of the existing cities along the Suez Canal with the
creation of other communities to integrate with the capital and that erosion
in 2030 and then east of the canal expansion. And the Suez Canal
accommodates currently about 2.9 million people and target with additional
development to accommodate two million extra   people until 2030 and then
accommodate six million other people until 2050 to become a population of
about 11 million people.
