Khayameyas is the principal of Ahmed Hamdi Architects, a multi disciplinary design
firm. Hamdi holds a BSc degree in Architecture from the   Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan
university, and a master’s of science degree in Environmental Design and Engineering
from U.CL., the United Kingdom.
The collection is Ahmed Hamdi’s interpretation of abstracting and reintroducing
diverse elements and icons derived from Egypt’s cultural heritage in a contemporary
form. Inspirations range from old ornaments, crafts such as miniature perfume bottle
production art, to traditional fabrics, such as Khayameyas .
