Q: Can you summarize your approach to architecture?
I believe in architectural energy that is transmitted to the user and receiver
.This energy is exists by the architect by technical knowhow and sensitive
appreciation of optical sensational and conceptual human energy. The lamp
of sensual and sentimental energies inspired by human and natural
phenomena should be the guiding light for maximum effort from the
architect s part to be reflected on maximum enrichment of human social
life. Resulting architecture will reflect complexity and diversity of human
and natural phenomena. Well studied diversity will help in concealing any
deficiency in work man ship appearing before and after occupancy.
Q: How do you evaluate your life achievements in architecture?
I cherish very much my sixty years of academic life. It went parallel to my
professional practice in Egypt and abroad.
The latter enriched my lectures in architectural theory and history .The
results of my academic and professional experiences were recorded in my
architectural encyclopedia of five volumes. Theses covered architectural
functional, structural and aesthetic principals. Conceptual approaches in
paradigm architectural cycles from 15th to 21 st centuries were the highlights
of two volumes of this huge academic endeavor.
