we have been tasked with preparing maintenance programs for these
bridges, where there are bridges constructed 1 20 years ago and are still
being used but need maintenance. In addition there are bridges built 15
years ago and require maintenance too.
As for hotels, we have carried out projects in several hotels in Sharm el-
Sheikh, Red Sea and Cairo, such as Sofitel , which has become one of the
most luxurious hotels in Cairo. We also have undertaken to improve a big
part of Semiramis InterContinental Hotel.
Q: What about your current projects abroad?
A: Given our expertise we acquired through working in Cairo Metro
Project, we have been nominated for taking part in the construction of
Riyadh Metro and Doha Metro. Accordingly, we have become experienced
in transportation projects inside cities.
Q: How do you assess Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC);
EGYPT THE FUTURE, held recently in Sharm el-Sheikh?
A: it was a great step and recognition on part of the world entirely that
Egypt has a special distinguished position with available opportunities for
investment in this pivotal country with nearly 90 million consumers. It is
assumed that Egypt will be the focus of attraction for investors and capital.
However, the post-conference period is the most important one; as the
Egyptians should be aware that they have to work earnestly and
continuously because of depending on others with a view to awaiting
support is unacceptable.
Q: Have you agreed upon carrying out any projects during the EEDC;
EGYPT THE FUTURE?
A: EHAF does not win projects according to the events, but we have
projects since long period and we haven’t agreed upon a certain project
after the Conference.
