A LEADING FIRM FOR PROJECTS MANAGEMENT Honored by el-
Sis in the Science Dayi
Egyptian President Abdul-Fattah El-Sisi has recently honored Hussein
Abbas, Board Chairman of EHAF Consulting Engineering Firm, and
granted him a certificate of appreciation and first-class order of merit in
science and arts in the Science Day. This honoring strongly shed the light
on that firm, which started operating in Egypt in early 1970s. The firm
participated in implementing major projects, regarded as milestones in
Egypt and a number of Arab countries.
In his interview with FUZED magazine, ABBAS said “We received that
honoring due to our applied scientific achievements, including our
participation in carrying out studies for Cairo Metro Line 1 and
contributions to developing the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi was considered an emerging city at that time, but we still
contribute to the development of such a big city. In early 1980s, we
contributed to mending telephones network and updating the worn out
telephone exchanges in most Egyptian governorates. Afterwards, we took
part in Cairo Metro Line 2. We are currently carrying out studies for the
establishment of the Cairo Metro Line 4. We are so proud of our significant
role in the renaissance of Dubai, in addition to our role in the construction
of the Grand Egyptian Museum.” Abbas has contributed to the
establishment of EHAF Consulting Engineering Firm, in cooperation with
Prof. Ezz   Eddin   Fahmy in 1971, following their return to Egypt after getting
PhD degrees from France. “EHAF” started its work in difficult conditions,
as the country was closed and all its potential was only directed to military
efforts.
