ARCHITECTURAL GLOBALIZATION

at the time when we become accustomed to see projects all over the Arab
countries which their designs do not belong to the place and do not express it or
related to it..! even if they used the highest world-class technologies.
Globalization and Identity..   A Gap between the concept and application. The
concept of globalization is still wandering among the team who confirms that this
enormous development in science and technology and the spread of culture would
not happen without it, and a second team who accused it of destroying national
and cultural identities, and the fragmentation of states and entities to weak and
poor countries, in addition to the dominance of the consumer culture. The identity
is exposed to trading and being at the surface and even mockery sometimes till the
gap between the concept and application has become larger than we imagine.
The dialogue which raises to the point of conflict begins between the concepts of
globalization and identity. Globalization seek towards unity and stereotypes, while
the identity adopts the defense of pluralism and diversity, to extend to the
globalization that seek to eliminate the boundaries of different specificities. In
contrast identity seek to recognize the world of differences and refuses to melt
will this conflict continue…? And will it continue to be a collision? Or is it possible
to deal with that equation in another way that provides investing the advantages of
globalization without blur of privacy represented in identity..?
