Al-Nabarawy was elected by the general meeting as a member of the
follow-up committee, which was chaired by late Dr. Ali Sabry. Additionally,
Al-Nabarawy and his colleagues had a verdict issued by the administrative
judicial authority on March 3rd, 2008 for forcing the head of the South
Court to hold elections with immediate effect, but this verdict was not
carried out by the court’s head.
Al-Nabarawy has taken part in establishing most national movements to
call for democracy and freedom and oppose the normalization of relations
with Israel since the 1970s. Moreover, Al- Nabarawy was a deputy head of
the graduates’ society of Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.
Such a society works for supporting the educational process and developing
the faculty.
Al-Nabarawy was appointed as deputy head of Badr City Investors
Association. Furthermore, he is a member of the national council, which
includes all political forces of the January 25 Revolution. He is Board
Chairman of “Arab Mechanical Engineers for Industrial Engineering” and
one of the founders of the independent movement, which was established
to face Muslim Brotherhood group inside the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.
Moreover, Al- Nabarawy was one of the 176 engineers, who called for
holding an extraordinary general meeting to end the control of Muslim
Brotherhood group over the syndicate. Al- Nabarawy was also one of the
first figures who submitted reports to the Public Prosecutor, revealing how
Muslim Brotherhood group exploited and made use of the syndicate and
squandered funds.
