Engineer Salah el- Kady graduated from Faculty of Engineering
(Architecture Department), Alexandria University, in 1977. After
completing the military services in Egypt, he travelled to the UAE to start
his career in 1979 at Arabian Construction Company (ACC). He has been
gradually promoted to be its currents Chairman. Over his work period,
ACC has carried out several important projects in Egypt and the Middle
East to be number one in the field of developing the oldest and most
important hotels. ACC has, indeed, implemented the most prominent and
impressive projects in contracting field.
In his interview with FUZED, el- Kady narrates and sheds light on the
most significant phases and achievements of ACC over about 30 years:
Q: What is the place occupied by Arabian Construction Company (ACC) in
the contracting field?
A: We are one of the largest contracting companies in Egypt and carry out
projects in several fields, but we are mainly specialized in hotel
development and no rival can compete with us in this field. We have
renovated all historic hotels in Egypt; including Marriott Hotel in Zamalek,
Palestine Hotel in Alexandria and the two hotels of Cataract Aswan; as
these hotels are very special in terms of their historic value and location.
We have been awarded, afterwards, a world prize from Abu Dhabi for the
best hotel development project in the Middle East.
Q: What are the current projects you carry out?
A: We are about to open Ritz- Carlton Hotel, which was previously named
Nile Hilton, in May 2015.
