Mid dle East 900 tons/day of flat glass.
? Did Saint-Gobain work in any other field other than the glass?
Actually the glass business represent 10% only of the Group sales all over the world.
The Group is divided into 3 main sectors: In novative Materials represents 24% of its
sales, Construction Products represents 28% and the Building Distribution and it
represents 48% of its sales.
?How do you see the market of glass in Egypt?
There is a demand on glass because there is a lot of development in the construction
sector which accordingly created that demand on glass.
? There is a trend towards sustainability, how does Saint-Gobain reacts towards this
trend?
Saint-Gobain stategy is to become the
benchmark in the Sustainable Habitat mar ket. For us, sustainable development
represents both a fantastic opportunity for growth and a daily responsibility.
? I’ve seen in your booth a prototype showing the role of glass in saving the energy,
could you clarify this point?
The glass has an important role in saving the energy because simply the reflective
glass reflects up to 53% of the light transmission and an average of 40% of the heat,
accordingly the usage of the air condition will be reduced.
?What are the products that identifies Saint-Gobain Glass?
Saint-Gobain has a diversified portfolio which includes all the basic and high
performance glasses depends on the performance which you need in your project.
