As such, I have decided to adopt a conceptual and methodological approach
that would contribute to a move toward a better environment. An
environment that would allow to architecture as institutions and architects
to fulfill its role toward society and to face the ongoing challenges. I will
aim primarily in this stage to stress upon the importance of preparing for the
emergence of a new sparkle. I can definitely say today, after many years of
practice, public work, studies and researches I had carried on concerning
this issue, that there we are confronting a responsibility and must take the
charge. It is our duty towards the course of life, a course shaped of a long
list of sparkles, as Hassan Fathi, Walter Gropius and others, and is in dire
need today to a new sparkle. But on the other hand, is the society aware of
such a need today? Are the creative designers and institutions work on
fulfilling their job? Would the new sparkle be an individual, or would it be
an institution or maybe a notion or a methodology? In this scope, It seemed
to me that it is suitable to present a series of activities at intervals under the
title of “THE WORKD NEEDS A NEW SPARKLE”.
