Do you want to live in a city, a town or in the countryside?
How easy will it be to get to where you work? How much will the
commuting cost?
Where will your children go to school? How will they get there?
Do you need a safe walking area or recreational facility, such as a park,
nearby?
How close would you like to be to family and friends?
When it comes time to sell
While you want to think of your place as a home first and not investment, it
doesn’t make sense to purchase a white elephant. Either you should put at
least some thought into how easy – or difficult. It’ll to be resell the home
one day. If a home is so unlike other nearby homes in terms of size, style,
price, etc, you might want to skip it and look elsewhere. It could become a
burden should you want to someday move on.
Accessing the Essential
Everyone needs groceries and household items. Explore the local shopping
areas. If the closest grocery store takes more than half an hour to reach,
how will that fit into your life style? Are you papered for two hours grocery
runs? Or will you accept the higher prices and limited choices of nearby
convenience stores?
On the other hand, you might decide that a quiet, remote location is worth
the trade-off of easy access to goods. And perhaps a favorite restaurant for
grocery store close by delivers.
Buyers spend a lot of time looking at properties,   they’re laser-focused on
finding the best apartment or standalone home that meets their needs. The
problem is, buyers sometimes don’t take the long view of a property.
