The idea..
Why is it a city? What are the borders of this city (administrative, geographi cal,
security borders,….etc.)? Does it have spatial boundaries or does it transcend all
boundaries of communi cation between nations and people? When did science
begin? When will it disappear? etc… Those questions crystalizes the main
challenges of the designer.
Science does not recognize spatial dimensions, it can exceed any borders. Thus, it
is a city with other dimensions. The city of science is a city that has chronological
borders This approach was reflected in the architectural design. That’s why the
idea of the project was developed on multi stages, in the beginning, the science
transcends all boundaries to
b an accumulative interactive work passing by trying to reach the roots ofe
science and its basics, referring to the ancient Egyptian civilization which
characterized by its development of basic contemporary sciences in all fields.
This is what makes Egypt the roots of knowledge. Egypt .. The roots of sciences
Our vision is to make an enlightenment project that takes us on a journey through
time and space to reach the roots of coherent and integrated science wherever
and whenever it is found. The visitor of the project will start his journey
downwards towards the heart where the roots are, launching from the roots to the
Future.
Knowledge rays..
From the core where the roots are, the knowledge rays that define the axes of the
different wings of the project will be launched. We need to connect to the roots
so that we can connect with the rest of the elements. The visitor will find his
mind, spirit, civilization, time and space,…. identity and personality.
