- Duplicity Of The Canal :
The process of drilling a parallel canal to the Suez canal from KM 60 to KM 90 with a length of 35 KMs in addition to broadening and deepening the ramifications of bitter lakes and Al Bulah with a length of 37 KMs so that the total length of the project becomes 72 KMs starting from km 50 to km 122. The project aims to avoid the current problems of Suez canal, as the north convoy has to wait for more than 11 hours in the area of bitter lakes. Furthermore, the project will allow the canal to accommodate giant ships with depth of 65 feet an increase in its income by 259% at a cost up to 4 billion dollars, in addition to a cost of 4.2 billion dollars to set up 7 tunnels to transport cars and railways to Sinai that their setting up coincides with the establishment of the new canal.The total cost of the two projects will reach 8.2 billion dollars.
