ACCESS AND CIRCULATION

NEWS\SCINCE PARK 5 of 7

The buildings flowing mass together with the shading canopies are carefully organized
along the pedestrian paths that link all the different programs together to provide a
sense of permanence, lightness and stability while appearing to integrate within the
landscape Science Park, allowing a balance between the exterior exhibitions a playful
flowing river and distinct vegetation areas that extend inside the buildings courtyards as
if the building was born within the landscape.
The exhibition volumes opens up via a series of Vertical Louvers to allow protection
from the direct sunlight exposure but at the same time allowing an openness for the
visitors to inhabit a shaded area before entering the exhibition enclosed spaces, the
overall structure is incorporated into the louvers fin system to provide visitors a
continuous flow form the park inside the buildings.
The Organic forms of the galleries above the layered landscape create a sense of
lightness and movement to the overall form, as clouds and mountains forms often
depict changing landscapes in Egyptian nature.
LANDSCAPE DESIGN
The design of the landscape & buildings, are fully integrated within the natural
formations of paths and plots allowing for flexibility of design within the proposed
construction phasing of the development. The network of museum plots and
connecting paths of the 2nd and 3rd phase, should be constructed in parallel with the
1st phase of the development, providing a holistic design for the Science Park
Complex as well as providing expansive connection of the 1st Phase development with
the surrounding city.
