Almine   Rech Gallery opened its doors on 1st April 1997 in the 13th
arrondissement in Paris. The gallery was founded on a minimal and
conceptual axis, representing artists such as James Turrell , John
McCracken and Joseph Kosuth
In addition to its stable of internationally recognized artists, it has always
been the gallery’s mission to continually seeks out and add younger artists
to its program. The gallery has held longstanding relationships with artists
such as Ugo   Rondinone , Tom Burr, and has since started working with and
representing artists such Alex Israel, Joe Bradley, Aaron Curry, Sylvie
Fleury , Taryn Simon, Matthias Bitzer , etc., alongside established artists
such as Franz West, Richard Prince, Jeff Koons, with whom the gallery is
proud to collaborate and represent.
In 2006 the gallery moved to a larger two-floor space in the Marais, and in
2008 inaugurated a second 1,000 square meter space in Brussels. In
March 2013, Almine   Rech Gallery was pleased to announce the
inauguration of its new space in Paris (64 rue de Turenne) with
Ugo   Rondinone
In 2014, Almine   Rech Gallery opens a space in London (11 Savile Row,
Mayfair) with a group show curated by Natacha Carron, called
‘Pittura   Oggetto ‘ with italian artists such as Agostino   Bonalumi , Enrico
Castellani , Dadamaino , Turi   Simeti (opening on June 3rd, 2014)
