THEREFORE THE ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT AT MISR
UNIVERSITY FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZED
FOR IT’S A PUBLIC LECTURE

Egypt has been lately facing a sever shortage of water resources, the lake of
public awareness with the problem and how to deal with it play an
important role in increasing the problem. Although saving water is saving
the whole life.
Therefore the Architecture Department at Misr University for Science and
Technology organized for it’s students a public lecture with title “Cairo Zero
Waste Water “on Wednesday at the 11 th of April to discuss one of the
important problems facing Egypt nowadays, aiming to find suggestions to
deal with the problem and able to applied through the students projects and
reach new points of searching for researchers and academics through the
projects and researches that proposed in the university research center by
it’ academic staff incorporation with the students to reach an innovatives
solutions as a part of Misr University’s polices to make a connection
between the real life and academic life to make the students able to start
their practical life after graduation.
This public lecture was divided into two sessions the first was for Prof.
Ahmed Rashed the head of El Baz research center for sustainable energy as
an academic professor in the field and the other session was incorporation
of Ideal Standard Company as a specialized company in the field to see the
different point of view between the academic vision and practical vision.
In the first session Prof. Ahmed Rashed started by giving a historical
background about the importance of water to Egypt going back to the
Pheronic Era till now,
