In his office at Arcadia Mall, one of Cairo’s high rises, Sa boor
seems to be proud of all his life experiments, he recalled them
saying: “After I graduated, I opened the office with two of my
colleagues in Heliopolis district, the first work which is an honor for
me is the design and supervision of a “grave” of Christian man, and
through this project, we implemented another person’s one, then
followed many small projects, access to housing whether a villa,
apartment, or a building, in 1961 President Abdel Nasser interfered
in defining the relationship between the landlord and tenant,
reducing the value of the rents and the owners of real estate kept
away from construction and start building factories, so I started
working in construction of factories, but after the setback, there were
no opportunities for projects in Egypt, so I moved to Libya for
spending on my office in Egypt, Libya at that time was in need for
planning of the cities and infrastructure, ‘hus I learnt the third
experience besides. housing and industry, that is planning and
infrostructure .
kept moving between Egypt and Libya until 1975, when two large
projects were assigned to my office in Egypt, after the War of 73,
there was a perception that economy will improved in Egypt and that
there is a need to expand the s reets to accommodate the economic
movement, and in this framework, we proposed the draft of the ring
road and drawing cross roads at -he gates, and when such two
projects are assigned to my office,
