Syndicate contracted with the consulting office «Archilab» to carry out the
works of designing and implementation follow-up after ensuring that the
office has the necessary expertise and requirements; also the design, which
the office submitted was the most appropriate design to the circumstances
and needs of the project.
In our conversation with the Consultant Eng. Hani Maher Khalil Ibrahim on
the approved design, we talked about the vision in which he built the
design, and he confirmed his interest in studying the relationship between
the theater and the Syndicate building and his interest in preserving the
architectural style of the building and its reflection on the interior design of
the theater hall.
One of the priorities of his interest is studying the movement inside and
outside the building and its relationship with entries and exits, and keeping
the design in line with the safety requirements. Services around the hall, the
theater’s stage and grill has been redesigned. The use of modern assistance
techniques for the advanced theatrical direction has been studied too.
This design philosophy has been reflected on the smallest details such as
architectural motifs, which was used in hiding air-conditioning outlets, as
well as aesthetic lighting units, distribution of used materials of all kinds and
the studying of used sound and colors effects. «This work is the product of
a joint collective effort between the office of the designer and the Egyptian
Engineers Syndicate, represented by the relevant committee to study the
development of the theater that has been appointed by the Syndicate to
ensure that project is worthy of being the house of the engineers of Egypt
and a beacon of culture,
