“Dar Al-Handasah” is one of the most important leading consultancy firms
worldwide, which was awarded the New Suez Canal Project. Dar Al-
Handasah   was .   established in 1956 as a specialized firm for the design,
management and supervision of projects. The firm was founded by four
engineering professors; namely Kamal alShair , Samir Thabet , Khalil Maalof
and Nazih   Talib. Dar Al-Handasah’s current Chairman is Yahya   Zaki ,
whose name is related to the company’s success in Egypt and abroad.
Dar Al-Handasah started with five main offices in Beirut, Cairo, London,
Pune and Amman. Today, the firm has 45 offices in 30 countries in the
Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS). Accordingly, Dar Al- Handasah has become a global company
and established a holding company to include a large group of engineering
companies.
Consequently, Dar Al-Handasah has now about 193 offices spread in 100
countries worldwide.
Dar Al-Handasah has provided 132 projects in Egypt; including Cairo
Stadium Indoor Halls Project, which was a major project at that time, when
it was accomplished within a very short period. Moreover, Dar Al-
Handasah has carried out works in civil aviation sector,
when it assumed the role of “Project Management” in Cairo International
Airport and “Implementation and Supervision” in Sharm El-Sheikh Airport.
Dar Al- Handasah has contributed to the works of Hurghada International
Airport. Additionally, Dar Al- Handasah has contributed to the works of a
number of other airports on the international level.
