DESIGN HUB 2015 FOR CREATIVE MINDS

The Egyptian Furniture Export Council (EFEC) and the Chamber of Woodworking &
Furniture Industries (CWWFI) believe strongly that Egypt’s future competitiveness is
dependent on unleashing the tremendous creative energies of its younger minds. To
help do so and to link these minds with industry they have created the Design Hub. The
Design Hub is a place where young entrepreneurs, design and innovators with forward
thinking ideas for products, materials, and techniques are featured and given the
opportunity to be tested in a high profile setting to get the right market feedback, and
possibly the investment opportunities they are looking for.
For its third cycle the EFEC and CWWFI partner with the Industrial Modernization
Center (IMC) to create the Design Hub’15.
The 2015 Design Hub has focused
its selection of entries on four main themes:
1.Green Thinking is the Future
2.lnnovation in Technology & Materials
3.Promising Startup Ideas
4.Design Hub Incubatees (continuing from previous rounds)
