He has also taken part in several major and huge national projects
established by the State, such as Ring Road and Metro, in addition to many
governmental authorities and hospitals, as well aw major hotels like
Sheraton, Semiramis InterContinental and Hilton Luxor.
Eng. Sabbour has gone on his success journey as “venturesome” not
“gambler”; as he has never sought to collect money, but just to achieve
success in any form whatsoever. Given that long experience, the most
important matter that makes Sabbour be delighted is to be trusted for
undertaking the development of an unsuccessful institution and bringing it
back to be on the right track. Accordingly, Eng. Sabbour was delighted with
chairing Mohandes Bank, when he held his position while the bank’s capital
was not exceeding EGP20 million, less than EGP1 billion budget and it did
not make any profits over seven years. After his five- year leadership, the
bank’s capital went up to EGP180 million, while the budget reached EGP5
billion making annual profits of EGP100 million.
Undoubtedly, Eng. Sabbour’s challenge was exiting and interesting for him,
so he did not get paid even a single penny throughout his leadership for the
Bank. The same thing applies to his leadership for the Egyptian Shooting
Club, which currently tops the other clubs with members of 40,000
families.
Eng. Hussein Sabbour has an economic vision focusing on the social
aspects and stemming from the feelings of bearing responsibilities. Actually,
he wishes the public can realize the current economic development made in
Egypt, in addition to distributing the economic returns fairly among
different categories of society so that the poor can feel improvement of
living standards.
