Mohamed lsmail, marketing dl- rector, pointed out that “Mobica”
introduced ‘melamine” as a material that looks like wood or leather among
this year’s prod- ucts.
“Archi touch” divided its booth into two sections; one for office furniture,
whose de- signs are based on simple-style metal structures with the aim to
meet the needs of targeted East Africa market. The second section had
home furniture to showcase the three lines of “dressing” that vary in terms
of price, material and shape.
Eng Tiamor Andrawes, project manager of “La Roch Furniture”, lamented
the low turnout compared with previous years. He added that the fair’s
objective was changed from “export” lo a fair for local customers, who
expressed their good impression about the simple and top designs adopted
by “La Roch Furniture”.
“Acacia” showcased a new collection of furniture in Egyptian and African
markets in defiance of Chinese, lndonesian, Malaysian and even European
markets. Mahmoud Borei, Secretary General of 6th of October Investors
Association, considered this year’s fair as the actual advance of “Furnex”
since the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.
