REVIVAL OF THE HERITAGE BUILDINGS

In this edition, which represents a celebration of our architects from
different directions and generations; it was necessary to meet successful
models of middle generation who is near to the Egyptians youth architects.
In this context, Hani Maher; the Egyptian architect, can be considered as a
representative of the middle generation who is near to the youth generation.
His journey began with the architecture on the public level when was
invited to share his ideas as representative of the youth architects in a
cultural salon under the patronage of the Ministry of culture when Farouk
Hosni was the Minister of Culture. Maher was one of the invited group of
Egyptians youth architects as well as being one of the representatives of his
architectural generation in the architect salon in Bulgaria in 1991. That
experiment has produced different ideas represent the youth generation
which now represents the largest segment of the architects in the Egyptian
consulting offices who guide the urban pattern in Egypt and the Middle East
too.
