The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (through national projects units) launched the “Investment in higher education and scientific research” program. The goal of this program is the establishment of international universities and is based on the support of public universities to set up branches abroad in partnership with leading international foreign universities and foreign investors on the available lands in order to expand public universities. The integration of the Egyptian public universities within the international universities is one of the main objectives of the project.
