PAST AND PRESENT
Throughout history, the definition of a kitchen has been e vol ving
until our recent days, one thing that hasn’t cha nged though, it
remains the heart of the house, it’s the place where all family
members meet and enjoy quality of life.
The Kitchen is the most complex space in your house, yet, If here is
one space you would wish to invest in, it is your Kitchen. Not only
because it is the space that demands the hi ghest safety measures,
but also because it is the place where family gather, eat, drink, work,
or talk.
Designing a kitchen is a long process that requires deep
under standing of both, user needs and design elements.
Kitchens and Co we begin our design process by one to one
communication with our client. We understand their n eeds and
requirements; we understand their life style and their aesthetic
preferences.
In order to design a kitchen properly, a clear understand  
ing of what a kitchen is and what it contains is a key. Therefore we
will begin identifying this basic understanding of a kitchen. For us in
kitchens and co, we don’t look at the kitchen as a space where some
cabinets and appliances are placed. It is rather a living space where
the user experience is at its center. Hence ‘we can define a kitchen
from those three perspectives, kitchen as Function, as Objects, or as
Experience.
‘The main functions of a kitchen are as follows; Cooking, Washing,
storage, and Preparation. Without one of the preceding functions,
the space cannot qualify as a kitchen. More functions however can
be added to it such as dining or working for example.
