THEVISION
Cardboard furniture is not a new idea internationally but it’s still sestibatic
and symmetrical it was challenge to do a free standing form from cardboard
material and to be so stable and balanced to express any concept the
designer is thinking of”
THE CONCEPT
I was impressed with la malaguena folklore music which is the most
famous music of Spain internationally, the rhythm, the movements, the
tones, and all expressive la malaguena all over the world. la  malaguena chair
is gipsy wild woman who is dancing softly.
THE PROGRESS
i began to draw conceptual sketches for la malaguena movements, and
abstracted it to serve the design, then the team began to do small scale
prototypes of the design to get the best option of function, morphology,
dynamics, stability, and structural.
the team started doing shop drawings, printing, cutting, gathering the cutted
pieces, treatment for humidity and heat effect, then finalizing the final
model.
THE FINAL PRODUCT
l amalguena chair is available in two types, first is the basic la malaguena
chair, the second one is the same but covered with fibers and fabric or
leather.
we are now having a deal with a Spanish firm to fabricate it in spain and
will be exhibited in biennial milan .
finally it will not end with the la malaguena chair we are working on a
whole collection has the same concept
