Mega Projects Issue
The Objective
The editorial board aims a special issue which highlights the Egyptian architectural and
urban environment, the mega projects in particular, which will change the concept of
the urbanization and impact on the whole country’s life through the urban formation,
besides its reflection toward the work volume that is being carried out and the amount
of investment that is injected in the Architectural and Urban systems in Egypt. As well
the issue would be considered in some way as a guide of the most important offices and
houses of design expertise, construction companies, project management companies,
and the most experienced suppliers of the construction materials and efficient in the
implementation of those projects by noting their role in the implementation of those
giant projects.
Basis of selection and nomination
As usual, we don’t measure the project according to its greatness instruction blocks,
investment volume or other traditional measurement methods. However, there are other
basic criteria; we believe that can contribute to advancing the quality of life concept, as
following:
The project shall be the largest in its class.
