The Blue track, which optimize optical technology by using more advanced detection algorithms and higher-contrast images (by way of the blue LED) to generate greater amounts of surface detail and thus provide better tracking. The Explorer Mouse’s three-tone design, a combination of sliver, dark gray, and black, lends a more stylish elegance to the mousing experience. Although you can use a single AA battery to power the Explorer Mouse, it also comes with one rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery. Under normal usage, you get about three weeks of moderate usage from a single charge. There is notification light on the center of the mouse’s top, which glows red if the mouse is critically low on power.
