Among the most important monuments in this historic place, which
makes it the largest open-air arch eological and architectural
museum; the mosque of AI-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, the house of Al-
Suhaimi , the Mosque of Suleiman Agha Seleh-dar mosque of Aqmar,
Abdul-Rohman Katkhuda’s fou ntain, the Palace of Prince Bashtak ,
the Mu seum of Egyptian fabrics, the mosque of Al-daher Barqoq ,
Fountain of Muhmmad Ali at mahaseen . the Mosque of AI-Nasser
Qalawun , the Mosque of al- Ashraf Barsbay , the Mosque of AL –
Ghouri , and Fountain of Nafisa aL-Bayda .
The Moez Street is considered the main axis of historical Cairo, it is
the oldest street in Egypt aged 1040 years, includ i ng 34 varied
monuments as the street has a lot of historical buildings represented
in the religious architecture, such as mosques and small praying
places, Quran schools and Knquaoat (places of Sufi worshiping) end
service architecture such as fountains and bathrooms, as well as
co mme rcial buildings such as markets and shops, as well as streets
and allies of archaeological value.
Through it to attract passrs-by and erase any bored feeling or getting
tired, in addition to the markets comprising the street surro unded by
high buildings to protect from the su n’s rays.
Moez Fat imid street is cultural value in the cons cience of the
Egyptian pe ople, as the birth place of the great write Naguib
