Mohamed Haroun is a native artist, who had taught himself the art of painting. When he was six, his
talent and works of arts impressed every one, including his teachers. When he was seven, he drew a
painting of the former president of Egypt Gamal Abdel-Nasser during the nationalization speech of
Suez Canal in 1956. He drew another fif ty-three meters painting, including all achievements of Gamal
Abdel-Nasser. The ministry suggested at that time putting that painting on the Mogamma, but the
1956 war broke out and the painting was lost.

Artist Mohammed Haroun was the master’s thesis subject prepared by researcher Nevin Mohamed
Khalil. The subject of the thesis was about the aes thetic vision in the art of popular picturing. Such a
thesis was discussed by Dr. Hani Gad, Dr. Sameeh   Shaalan and Dr. Imad   Rizk.
