The events of the conference and the exhibition for intelligent
citie s” ICEC ” for in-tell gent and sustainable cities in the Middle East and
North Africa in Fairmont Hotels in Heliopolis/Cairo took place on the 28th
and29th of September. This exhibition was at-tended by the governor
o fBehaira , representatives of ministry of Housing and environment , and a
number of the leaders in the field of international industry real estate
investors , consultants, and advisers in the eco system related to intelligent
cities. Some of the top companies that participated in the exhibition were?

with other companies
The conference covered discussions and presentations for the best ways
and guidance in administration, designing, and building intelligent cities in
addition to presenting the latest technologies, products, communication,
transportation, security systems, surveillance, data entry and all what is
required to build such cities as they should be
The conference was started by Eng. Ahmed Eissa , the CEO for ROOT
Technologies, the or-ganizing company for the conference. He said that the
conference aimed to achieve a unique ecosystem that serves these cities.
That would help reduce the damages that would happen to these cities, and
increase the rates of eco- nomic growth as well as the cooperation between
the government, real estate companies, contractors, investment groups and
consult-ants which contributes in merging the experience of both national
and international mar-kets.
Eng. Kamal Fahmy , the vice president of the Authority of urban
communities at the ministry of Housing, facilities, and urban development,
has stated that since the authority is aiming for providing new green urban
communities, which are considered as a cultural leap for Egypt. Hence,
