Review technical aspects
Including the appraisable coordination and delegation of party’s involved, there were
various technical innovations used in Secon’s design, especially the unique use of MEP.
Using two types of chillers for air conditioning (electrical chillers and absorption,
natural gas, chillers) diversified the source of power used to produce chilled water and
air given the environmental and socio-economic issues that currently surround power
attainment in the area.
Another notable innovation used is namely the heat recovery system that uses
absorption chillers returning the condensed water from cooling towers to be used to
heat the swimming pools’ water. This technique will reduce the cooling tower fan
consumption and vaporization rate. This reduction allows for less water and power
waste.
Adding a Sovent system to plumbing collects all types of drainage waste and soil in one
stack without the need of adding vent stack plumbing systems. This innovation allows
for efficient, effortless plumbing comprised of simplicity and ease of operation.
The aesthetic, efficient addition of LED lighting for all fixtures in the hotel and
residential building allows for a consistent aesthetic look and a crucial power
consumption waste.
Finally, the Secon Nile Towers are made to be equipped with a PoE surveillance system,
providing a confident sense of security and awareness.
