The important motives for reviving the Art Deco Style nowadays:
In spite of the massive global changes that have taken place in the last
decades, along with the new styles of the current era, the Art Deco style
holds between its flanks the charm and beauty that make it suitable to many
tastes and eras. Hence, it appears from time to time in creative works of
many designers in the form of reviving pictures and arts, while the rest
consider it a reference to innovation or re-discovering his/her works again.
The effects of this style echoed in many contemporary works, and here, I’d
try to monitor the main motives behind the charm and beauty of the Art
Deco style in the works of contemporary designers:
Nostalgia for the twentieth and thirtieth of the twentieth century, and
reviving the fashion line, shapes, colors and decorations that represent
significant features in that period:
The Art Deco style is close and similar to the historical styles, and local
cultures in terms of the innovative modern visions that present beautiful art
works that suit various tastes
Most of the modern designs are characterized by deep rationalism,
coldness, stiffness and concentration on the utilitarian aspects of the
products which contributed to consolidating the state of monotony and
coldness in the mind of the audience, hence, they started looking for works
featuring dimensional designs, social, cultural and historical features. These
works also hold between their flanks a world of richness and mystery that
attract the attention of the public, and the Art Deco style provides them
with that feature, since it contains social and cultural references that
formulates special features that go with the needs of the communities for
diverse tastes.
