We chose the Karkar in the province of Aswan for its development and
development of tourism, as it will be the largest illuminated area in Aswan
after the decision of the strategic plan of the region to turn it into a global
city which will be linked to the new Aswan city, which revives the Nubian
model, which is a strong example of the sustainable buildings of the
environment natural materials
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Indoor Lighting Design
1. Install fluorescent or LED light fixtures for all ceiling- and wall-mounted
fixtures that will be on for more than 2 hours each day, such as kitchen and
living room, bathroom, hallway, and other higher- demand locations.
2. Consider installing fluorescent or LED fixtures, rather than using
fluorescent or LED replacement lamps in incandescent fixtures.
3. Use CFLs or LEDs in portable lighting fixtures that are operated for
more than 2 hours a day.
4. Use ENERGY STAR® labeled lighting fixtures.
5. Use occupancy sensors for automatically turning on and off your lights
as needed.
6. Consider light wall colors to minimize the need for artificial lighting.
If you are using recessed lights in a ceiling with an unconditioned space
above it, use only Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved fixtures that are
airtight, are 1C (insulation contact) rated, and meet ASTM E283
requirements.
