عطيل يا إلهي، لقد أهدت سيدة مصرية هذا الوشاح لأمي. كانت هذه السيدة ساحرة تستطيع قراءة أفكار الناس، و أخبرت أمي بأنها طالما احتفظت بهذا الوشاح، سيستمر أبى في حبها، وإن ضيعته أو أهدته لأحد، فسيكرهها أبى وسيبدأ في البحث عن غيرها. وعندما كانت أمي على فراش الموت أعطتني إياه وطلبت منى أن أعطيه لزوجتي عندما يحين موعد زواجي، وقد فعلت. لذلك عليك أن تحافظي على هذا الوشاح؛ فهو لا يقدر بثمن. ففقدانه أو إعطاؤه لشخص آخر سيكون خسارة فادحة، خسارة لا تضاهيها أية خسارة.
