The planning process took almost one year, with coordination between all
parties to kick start work on site, MAS contractors were chosen for the
implementation of the project. In order to achieve the target all parties had
to work really hard and close to plan for all infrastructure facilities without
offending the architecture. Installing air-conditioning systems, fire alarm and
fire fighting networks in a way that is as inconspicuous as possible, while
restoring all the details that existed in the building to bring it back to life.
The project is still in the making, it is expected to reach completion by the
end of May 2018. The building will mark the first modern office to be
located in Downtown Cairo, quite an untraditional move from Sarwa
Capital, knowing that most companies that size would probably move into
either New Cairo or a typical office park in the Sixth of October City.
The project is a collaborative work between Ebony & Ivory, Al-Ismaelia
and MAS contracting all serving Sarwa Capital to make the full
transformation hoping that this would inspire other companies to make
similar moves and eventually transform downtown into the main business /
commercial hub in Cairo.
A progress image illustrating the how the space is planned with infra-
structural utilities still to be concealed.
