So we have seen this building almost every day for the last 13 years and it
has a lot of personal value to us. Secondly, it is a beautiful, historic building
in Zamalek and it is always a great challenge to preserve the beauty of an
old building but to still do something new and unique. The Marakez team is
very young and has very progressive ideas with regards to how they wanted
to work and circulate through the space. This sparked the idea of designing
the sales floor like a lounge and to make the sales experience very unique
and atypical. We got rid of the typical large reception desk that you see
when you walk into any sales center and we replaced it by a few small,
comfortable seating areas and coffee bar.
“Overall, 2016 was a great year with a lot of interesting projects. We
designed a lot of beautiful houses; some still under construction, a series of
offices for some great companies and are currently supervising a number of
other great projects. Amongst some of the completed works this year were,
the offices of Scatec   Sotar , a Norwegian company that focuses on solar
energy, the headquarters of Juhayna in the Polygon, and a beautiful home
for a lovely family in Pyramid Hills.” El Khachab added.
