Large manufacturers in each industry has their corporate social responsibilities
towards their community. Saint-Gobain #1 in Europe and #2 Worldwide in the
production of flat glass has a great role in educating and spreading the awareness of the
role of glass through tailored seminars named “The Experts Meet”.
2016-2017 are the most important years that witnessed the obvious appearance of the
company in its quest to confirm the environmental sustainability concepts and green
architecture, thus it was important to meet with the company officials to talk about the
importance of these partnerships and the role of the mega companies in creating the
working environment in the construction field in Egypt and to establish modern
construction trends. Our meeting with Mr. Antoine Andrawos, Commercial Director,
on the sidelines of the “Windorex” glass exhibition to talk about the technical activities
of Saint-Gobain.

It was brightly clear during the past two years, that Saint-Gobain has been keen to
communicate with consultants through a series of technical conferences. What is Saint-
Gobain’s purpose toward this approach?
Consultants are one of the most important partners to Saint-Gobain because all the
modern projects are built on accurate performances; reflection of heat, light
transmittance, emissivity of glass, color grades beside tests are applied for specific
projects; from here, we need to spread these specialized cultures among the technicians
and the specialized in the field.
