MOVING ARCHITECTURE

and even boiling asphalt of North – Demehunchback guard are pouring all the
time on attacking shouting crowds with cathedral bells ringing .
Baroque provides movement to architectural dynamism by adding special
features on every corner externally. All walls are full of moving curves in
elevation and plan. Undulating walls, roofs, decorations, spiral columns are
all over the walls with no one centimeter of static areas .
Art Nouveau replaced classic static decorations with lines of weeds, sea
shells moving under water and wind wave forms. Modern architecture
went back to classic static forms especially in pure German in Bauhaus
products. However DeStijlsliding horizontal and vertical plains and Le
Corbusier plastic ones in roof gardens broke the repose of the static
modern language .
Form was freed from statical monotony by deconstruction movement of
fractal diversity of Frank Gehry and Zaha   Hadid free hybrid forms in
continuous dancing lines. In some of Zaha’s works you can oven hear
musical silver chords vibrating upward and downward from ground level.
We are witnessing the new forms of the future.
With late technical progress in mechanics and computer sciences
architecture turned from artistic suggestions to actual realizations. We had
before spiral baroque columns, spiral towers and spiral ramps, these all did
not move but give suggestions of movements. Now examples of movement
are getting more explicit and materialized, however less symbolic and
expressive. In a technical miracle hundreds of discs are actually moving
smoothly as restaurants, and a spiral tower is changing its form in and out
and vice versa. These are highly technical miracle but are they work of art?
