CARATOS-LUX COLLECTION BY ANTOIO CITTERIO
After 25 years of presenting products that use artisanal materials and processes, I felt
the need to offer a “moulded” product, a chair with a fusion structure, thanks to a
significant industrial in vestment by the company. At the same time, I wanted the
“design” of this new product to be part of the Maxalto collection. This chair can be used
with the entire Maxalto collection, with the new tables, and also with the existing
products. This product is absolutely contemporary but recalls the memory of some
twentieth century objects, echoing the idea of bronze, through a “full” opaque finishing
that absorbs light, and the great quality of the leather upholstery, giving
i a “saddleryt ” look”. Antonio Citterio .
Caratos is the new chair distinguished by the elegance of its basic, geometric structure,
with closely calibrated thickness and detailed, made of graphite or amber painted die-
cast aluminium This chair is definitely light, not just because of its essential and linear
design, but also for its low weight and easy handling. The seat and back use structural
panels of plastic material placed on a polyurethane layer, then covered with leather

الصنائع، شعرت بالحاجة إلى توفير منتج على شكل “حلية معمارية بارزة” وهو عبارة عن كرسي مع هيكل مدمج
وذلك بفضل الاستثمار الصناعي الملحوظ الذي تقوم به الشركة، وفي نفس الوقت، رغبت في أن يكون “تصميم” هذا
المنتج الجديد جزء من تشكيلة ” ماكسالتو (Maxalto ). ويمكن استخدام هذا الكرسي مع تشكيلة ماكسالتو بأكملها
ومع الطاولات الجديدة وكذلك المنتجات الحالية أيضاً، ويعد هذا المنتج معاصراً بكل ما تحمله الكلمة من معنى،
ولكنه يعيد إلى الأذهان ذكريات بعض الأغراض المستخدمة في القرن العشرين بما يحاكي فكرة المنتج ذي اللون
البرونزي من خلال تشطيب “كامل” غير شفاف يمتص الضوء، بالإضافة إلى الجودة العالية للجلد المستخدم في
التنجيد لكي يمنح مظهراً رائعاً مثل “السرج”.
يعتبر “كاراتوس (Caratos )” هو الكرسي الجديد الذي يتميز بجمال أجزائه الأساسية وأناقتها وروعة تركيبته
الهندسية مع سمك معياري بإحكام ودقة وهو مصنوع من الألومنيوم المسبوك في قوالب ومطلي بالغرافيت أو لون
الكهرمان الأصفر. ويتميز هذا الكرسي بخفة وزنه بالتأكيد، ليس فقط بسبب تصميمه الأساسي والطولي، ولكن أيضاً
بسبب وزنه المنخفض وسهولة مناولته. وبالنسبة للمقعد والظهر، يتم استخدام ألواح هيكلية من المواد البلاستيكية التي
توضع على طبقة من البولي يورثان ثم يتم تغطيتها بالجلد.
