Considering the level height, each floor contains zones of similar characteristic. The

first basement level accommodates technology zone and pyramid-shaped Planetarium
symbolizing Egypt. The building carries Meeting & Conference Zone on the ground
floor, Research Zone on the first, and Exhibition Zone on the second floor and lastly
joins the zones with vertical routes.
FM Corridor on the first basement floor forms service routes that link each unit
planned for distribution and loading. The routes circulate the outermost edge, making
loading possible at each unit. At the top deck on the highest level, visitors can watch the
panorama of the whole Science Park plus Giza Pyramid.
Development Phasing
In order to establish the 8 units satisfying each function and the core connecting the
whole complex, we require a 3-pahse development plan. We propose an optimized
phasing strategy to achieve goals in each phase.
Phase 1 (Establish Stage): To establish fundamental exhibition, and the core unifying
Observatory Tower and Planetarium that surges scientific interest in research realm.
Phase 2 (Growth Stage): to complete Conference Center creating science culture and
to intensify each function.
Phase 3 (Complete Stage): to complete the complex by finishing every functional
element and outdoor Science Park Design Process
THE SCIENCE CITY IS DESIGNED IN CONSIDERATION WITH URBAN AXIS,
