Science Park grows step by step, other than a normal park. The research result in

laboratories is introduced to outdoor park, and this makes inner programs adapt to
outdoor settings. The park grows based on scientific development and research. This
growth completes the paradigm of a park located in an Egyptian desert.
Upon phase 1, we establish an outdoor test bed closely related to exhibition facilities.
During the expansion, the exhibition and research on diverse elements of the park will
take on so that indoor park programs can move and expand outside. The study covers
various topics including zoology, botany, hydrology, geology, energy use, and hard
scapes. Science Park is a place for interactive experiment and exhibition. The test bed
established Science City as an essential urban element in the near future.
Building Design
Science Park will play a major role in the 6th of October City, and should have a
symbolic and unique form. The design of the Park is largely based on two axis of the
city to create each symbolic unit, which consists of modularized sub-units.
On a large scale, the upper part of the building is twisted toward Giza pyramid to obtain
the view as a landmark representing Egypt. The bottom part of Observatory Tower is
spirally connected to the satellite exhibition boxes. Lastly, we planned a modularized
environmental-friendly ventilation system on the whole façade and the roof of the
building so that it can breathe in Egyptian climate.
