Hashish’s work depend on what defines the country or the place of each
project. For example; if the country has lots of forests and woods, then the
project would mainly depend on wood, but if the country is famous for
deserts, then stones would be the main material, hence, it’s better to work
with the materials available in the country of the project. However, the
architects sometimes have to use materials not found in the environment of
the project unfortunately as per Hashish’s words

Hashish says, “Egypt had better chances with manpower in the past, but
nowadays, it doesn’t have the same capabilities of manpower which is sad.
Yet, this is normal after 30 of carelessness for this kind of work. Most
craftsmen of the previous era didn’t have the luxury of teaching the coming
generations to master this profession, and my job depends so much on
craftsmanship which is causing me troubles nowadays.”.
