  • Egypt’s recent Economic Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh witnessed the signing of several investment agreements in some sectors with a total of $70bn contracts, and various signed MOUs amounting the whole investments value to $155bn. The size of the agreements signed between Egypt and international companies or institutions, on the first and the second days amounted to $33bn in installation and operation projects.

  • The Middle East business intelligence service MEED reported a remarkable pick-up in Egypt’s economic development over the next two to three years in infrastructure, banking, real estate, power, petrochemicals and manufacturing sectors. Such mega investments and projects at these sectors will significantly boost the plastics industry in Egypt to unprecedented levels.
