Glass is a natural material being considered one of the most important
architectural materials enabling buildings to raise their operating efficiency,
besides its other decorative functions. For this, we should pay more
attention to this industry and shed light on the pioneer companies to touch
the growing progress of this industry. Smart glass is one the biggest
companies in manufacturing high-level quality glass. That is why we met
Mr. Mohamed omar- Smart glass deputy general manager- to be acquainted
with the company industrial capabilities and what type of services the
company provides to the consulting sector.
This enhances the consultant ability to create and advance. We asked him,
then he answered as in the following dialogue
At first, would you mind giving us a look at Smart glass company in terms
of the volume and diversity of its production?
Smart glass is one of the largest glass manufacturers in Egypt with 40-
million-dollar investments with only Saudi funds, that means that it is
completely a Saudi company. The factory size is 40000 meters wherein
there are the up-to-date operating machines and the biggest glass furnaces,
which enabled Smart glass to exist and participate in the largest projects in
Egypt or the Middle East. Moreover, the number of workers in the factory
ranges from 200 to 250 workers and technicians, as the factory depends
basically on the modern automatic machines that do not need intensive
human intervention. However, we keep providing job opportunities in the
factory. With regard to production, the factory produces about 25-30
thousand meters of glass used in the facades of buildings monthly. Finally,
the factory was established in 2010,
Would you please shed more light on Smart- glass products in terms of
diversity in thicknesses, measurements, degrees of transparency, usages, in
addition to functions?
Smart glass is a company specialized in manufacturing the glass used in
implementing the building facades according to the most updated
production technologies and standards. These technologies and standards
help in conserving energy and give usage characteristics making.
