Center at Al- Maadi . Mall of Egypt Is about 10 km from the Mall of Arabia, which
opened in 2010 and was considered the largest mall in the city, unlike a range of mid-
sized malls, which makes us wonder “Is this the model we are seeking …?”
Which reminds me of the words of an Iraqi architect hanging on one of the mega
projects there: «This is a large mall, within the projects of reconstruction of Iraq,
we do not need it, we need development projects, factories …” So, Are these the
projects of our way to the future, which our children dream of…?!
500500 Hospital, an important and huge project, will be implemented on an area of
41 acres in Sheikh Zayed, on a land provided by Cairo University, and the design
provides a distinct community of services to all types of reluctant. Regardless the
architectural design and administrative aspects, there is a question still looking for
an answer, doesn’t this project able to development a new area, so that it
considers as the nucleus of its development? So why don’t be implemented in one
of the oases for example?
Mega projects are one of the most important steps of our way to the future,
which children will live today to realize their dreams that they dream today. The
methodology of these projects must be rational and aware of their responsibility
and complementarity in accordance with a strategic vision and clear goals that
achieve real objectives and not just propaganda.
So, let us look with the eyes of our children, who are building their dreams on the
sand amidst the dangers of the future waves.
