The thoughts of building new cities adapting the new ideas and constitutions have been

found through history. As an example, we will find that Akhenaton or Ikhnaton (an
Egyptian pharaoh) had called for buildinq a new capital city which was, after that, under
the name “ Amarna ” Another example was Constantine the Great (a Roman Emperor-
from 306 to 337 AD) who built a new city “Constantinople” to be the capital of the
Roman Empire; in addition he was the first Roman emperor to claim conversion to
Christianity. A third example is the Hijra (migration) or journey of the Islamic prophet
Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and his followers from Mecca to Medina which
became after that the political capital and the power base of spreading the new religion
“Islam” and building the Islamic Empire.
It will be a leading city for Egypt’s future construction. Let’s starting with the new
constitution, the city will contain a presidential palace that will not change with the
presidential shift as in the well-defined countries (The White House or the Elysee
Palace or the Buckingham Palace). This palace will pave the way to establish all what
can achieve the life requirements and quality in this city such as; the Egyptian House of
Representatives (former the People’s Assembly), The Shura Council (or the
Consultative Council), ministries, governmental authorities, diplomatic representation,
embassies, markets, clubs, residential neighborhoods, airports, railways stations,
transportation, fresh air, in addition to architectural and constructional projects in all
fields. This city will be an example of the green construction and use the clean and
renewable energies. Its neighborhoods and streets will take the names of the revolution
martyrs in order to immortalized in the Egyptian history.
