This work of art is a group of doves that rises out of its nest on the ground
t fly in the spacious sky heading towards God, protected from the othero
side by a protective shield protecting the maytyrs . The doves were chosen
as a symbol for them to symbolize their change into angels flying to the
sky. Flying here is a symbol for ascendance to paradise and the shield is a
group of strong Egyptian pillars that symbolizes simplicity and purity among
the geometrical shapes that enforces the identity. It’s also reflects the
Egyptian civilization that wings over the souls of the martyrs to protect their
remains. The shield reflects a wonderful background with the ground with
the groups of doves that adds a sense of the stability and dignity and
achieves the effect of the balance between all the sculptural elements. The
wall is well connected to the doves though they are totally different. This
work of art allows many translations and ideas for the receivers and helps
commemorate the memory of the martyrs. It was designed by Dr.
Khaled   Mehrez and Professor Mahmoud Shokry.
